The levels I'm seeing on the clips you have uploaded sit between -57 and -54. These levels aren't too bad.

All I can suggest is that when you are running mics is to keep your levels between -10 to -6dB to obtain better saturation. Thereby better SNR levels all round. I consistently stick to these figures to achieve good signal-to-noise ratios. Some tips at the link below may help you. Good luck!

If there is nothing plugged in, the track will not be used anyway. Or just turn the record level down to 0.and make sure there is no autogain enabled. It is not uncommon for preamps to generate a little noise when there is no load, especially with Phantom Pwr.
