DJ soundboard and digital recorder
Can someone explain to how (connectors) and I guess the best way to tap into the soundboard of a DJ. I will be using a Roland R-09 digital recorder.
Thanks, John |

Depending on the dj mixer, you can use "record out" rca or xlr(whichever it comes with) or use the "control room" out of the dj mixer to a stereo track input or use a y-adapter(rca to 1/4 stereo tip). If the dj mixer does not have a seperate out then........................I dunno, try useing the amp outs to your recorder monitoring via hjacks.

If the soundboard has pre-fader aux outs, try to use those. The DJ is going to be continually changing the main out levels - aux out comes earlier and will be (or at least can be) at a constant level.
