schoeps cmc641, bbg, k-tek k-ssm?
I've had the Oktava MK012, Rycote baby ball gag 20mm/windjammer, K-Tek K-SSM setup for years now and am looking to possibly take the plunge and buy the Schoeps CMC641.
Anyone know if I would be able to use the BBG and K-SSM with the Schoeps just as well? If not, what size BBG would you recommend for it? What is the diameter of the CMC641? Any other suggestions on what people are using? Thanks. |

The CMC41 is 20mm, like the Oktava. Your BBG should work. Do a search for a user called "saneproduction" over at dvxuser.com (>>Audio). I remember that he has the Oktava and the Shoeps and uses them both in the same BBG.
Second hand knowledge, though I am pretty sure... |

I'd buy another KSSM for that Schoeps. It's a PITA to change the mic in those rubbers. Just leave them mounted.

Great to know. May just sell my Oktava, who knows. I still have MKH-416 as well, but some say the Schoeps are sensitive to high humidity, and people like keeping a backup in such weather?
