Difference between Micro35 and Canon 35mm adapter?
Hiya,
Didn't receive my micro 35 guide yet, but searching for a mount for a canon EF lens came up empty. And made me wonder if a Canon 35mm adapter for an XL-1 is almost the same as the micro35? Can somebody help me out here? http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...=146134&is=REG -- Frank |

The EF adapter is something else. It allows you to mount EF lenses to the
XL series of camera's. However, it does not have a ground glass and thus the focal length is multiplied by 7.2x on an XL1(S). In other words, if the EF lens would be a 50mm lens it becomes a 360mm lens on the XL1 (telelens). The other adapter you are talking about is the P+S Technik mini35 adapter, this is a $10.000 (yes, $10K) adapter to mount 35mm lensen on a number of camera's. The guide you bought is to make a homemade version of that $10K adapter.
