SG35 - New footage

Shot some footage with the SG35.. but the motor didnt work so dust can be seen, but it adds texture and doesnt spoil the lokk at all..

35mb

ND filter used on XM2
EF 50mm 1.8

WHere was the distortion. You know for gg not spinning, it's pretty impressive. I did notice some focus problems, too soft, maybe achromat not strong enough??

The distortion is coming from the condenser system used. This in turn caused the soft focus around the edges. The camera needs to be aligned perfectly on axis otherwise you will get this effect. The system is not very forgiving.

I have now implemented a new system, replacing the condenser system with all achromatic quality lenses. This will prevent the distortion you see in the clip, and also prevent colour seperation. It also makes dust less of a problem. I am upgrading Quinn's unit to this new system for him, and all new units will have this design.

Cheers Wayne, sent item 1st this morning.. not to 24 ! looking forward to it..

Focus issue could be me aswell, it was cold and some ravens were on my case...! didnt want to hang round too long.. some was really soft but then some was really sharp too.. with the GG moving it would have looked sharper i feel..

H264.. yep.. transfer to the ipod from imovie.. its slow but its good enough for web uploading..

LETUS35? arrived this morning.. so some testing on Quyens unit will begin soonish ..
