Help with Procoder 3 - HD footage conversion

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone out here is using Procoder 3 to convert HD footage1080p 24fps to an editable .avi format. We shoot 1080p 24fps and would like to convert it to 720x480 avi for editing purposes. IHowever, in Procoder 3 It seems all options to convert HD files are only at 30fps, is there an option to convert the footage to 720x480 24fps ? Or is it supposed to be like this and after we edit it in PPro CS3 just convert it back to 24fps ?

Thanks,

Re: Help with Procoder 3 - HD footage conversion

I don't work with 24p myself, but on both the Source and Target menus there is a framerate window that should allow you the choice of framerate for both.
Typically, when you import a clip to the Source section, Procoder "reads" the clip and identifies the framerate, progressive/interlaced, framesize, PAR, etc. Sometimes it makes a mistake, but you should be able to make changes on the Source menu. Your selections on the Target menu determine the characteristics of the transcode export.
Procoder has a variety of presets as well, but these may not always match the requirements of the task at hand.
