I never saw the film, but from having seen the trailer, I'm gonna guess "The 40 Year Old Virgin".

Okay, after I read your response, it just popped into my head. I SO KNOW this one, though I guess I shouldn't be proud to admit it.

Is it, "Pee Wee's Big Adventure" ???

The scene is early in the film after the run-in with Francis, and the line is spoken by Francis in reference to Pee Wee's date with .....Dottie...I think.

nope...not Pee Wee's Big Adventure.

But a very good guess :)

Alot of people I talk to have not seen this movie and I have no idea why.
