FAIR Price to suggest on buying a GL-1
My buddy has a highy used GL-1, and says he is getting a GL-2 for our movie we produce. I use a optura 300 and have been trying to get either a gl-1 or 2 so that our film would mesh better, although im happy with my day shots with the 300, the low light lux sucks!!!
So, if he does get a gl-2, what would be a fair price to offer? The camera is well taken care off, but it has also been through some rough times, aka hanging out of car windows at 80mph. I'm not really sure if he has all the orginal boxes, and im not sure if he would keep his wide angle and big battery for the gl-2, i would def knock off price if he doesn't sell them, for the fact that i would want them also. thanks!

One way to check market prices is to go to Andale.com
Type in "Canon GL1" This gives you a pretty good idea of fair market value and shows you eBay auctions that have sold the item over the last few months. Looks like about $1K is the going price, but it's hard to say what was bundled in those auctions. Good luck, FWIW, a friend of mine recently picked one up for $900.00 in good condition. |
