Then I noticed that I'd left an "ö" in the file name, which could be the issue.. But it seems to work on megaupload so....

Where can I download? I can not.

Hummmm 25fps?

How did you shoot it, it looks incredible but I am just confused about the frame rate, shot 24 progressive or interlaced and then deinterlaced?

Nice! Reminds me of some clouds I saw in the '60s.

A new video with the band, shot last weekend with the HV20. In this installment I am interviewing one of the two Drist guitarists, Shauncho Yen. As a bonus, we get a sneak preview of two songs from the band's upcoming album!

Fall colours in Massachusetts...

Last Sunday - shot some footage with the HV-20; used a monopod a lot, along with a polarizing filter, and then edited in Final Cut Pro..

Thanks for the pretty colors Ross--you did this displaced New Englander a nice service (sure wish I had a lungful of Western Mass. air right now; our skies are thick as soup from the wildfires).

Ross Jones October 27th, 2007 11:32 AM

Charles,
Glad you liked it.. Folks were suggesting that this year the colours wouldn't be too good... well I wanted to get out and grab what I could in order to disprove the theory..! A few days after I shot this, it rained / blew hard, and now we have very few leaves/colours left.. ah well..
Rgds, Ross.

A much shorter re-edit of my original Squaw Valley video, re-made specifically for Vimeo’s HD channel. You can view the video in 720p HD using your browser here: http://vimeo.com/365335

I redid my Foster City video from the ground up, removed lots of of bad footage, and I also added new footage that was recorded last evening. HD version and downloadable 720p HD file (after you sign in to Vimeo), here: http://vimeo.com/372595

Thanks for the memeories. Me and my wife lied there a couple of years ago and miss it. Great place to live. I also edit on vegas7. I have 8 but not loaded yet.

Hah! Thanks Eugenia! I am in the process today, of packing and moving to Foster City, from San Mateo. (All of three miles) I was telling some friends in Texas, that I'd shoot some footage next month, and send it to them, and here you have already done my legwork, great job!

And yeah, we're renting a place on the water.

See ya' around!

Eugenia Loli-Queru November 6th, 2007 02:31 PM

Coolio! Maybe we can meet up at some point and do some shooting, who knows.

This is a little clip I made in June with the first footage I got out of the HV20. It's almost out of the box shooting aside from very gentle tinting of highlights (yellow) and shadows (blue).

HV10 better than sony dcr-hc96 in indoor lighting at night

Hi i was tossing up b/w the two cameras mentioned in the title
I can get them for the same price so just wondering which one i should get
the hv10 beats the sony in every way in my opinion except i'm unsure of indoor conditions which is pretty important with me due to my baby

i found sample clips of the sony in low light here comparing it to the gs300 and was very impressed by the sony low light

sony dcr-hc96: http://www.archive.org/download/theh...v_0/test96.wmv

pana gs300
http://www.archive.org/download/theh..._0/test300.wmv
how is the hv10 in comparison?
btw i don't have hdtv but i will be definately getting on in a year or two

any input is much appreciated
