			Superb!

What program are you using to add these type of effects? Also, what kind of hardware are you using? Mac/Laptop? I was wondering if I should get a nice Laptop for just Video editing and what not. I have never owned an Apple Computer/Laptop so I was hoping you might shed some light on them for me if indeed you are on a Mac Comptuer or Laptop. Thanks. Brad |

It was done in After Effects on an old mac G4, I just hand tracked the hat onto the birds head (it was too difficult for the built in motion tracker) but to be honest it would make no difference if it was done on a PC or a Mac, After Effects is pretty much the same on both platforms. |

Excellent little clip, Lee. btw, what's the significance of the sign on the bird's hat? Is that a special logo of some sort? |

Is the background sounds of this clip in the original type or added afterwords? |

No, the background bird song I recorded by sticking a microphone out the window at 6 in the morning last summer, I use the recording all the time for ambient outdoor backgrounds. The noises of the Robin pecking and jumping around and also flying off at the end are all done with my girlfriends suede gloves, variously flapping them, dropping and tapping them on the mic and other little tricks, I recorded a couple of minutes of playing around with the gloves and then chopped up the recording in Logic Audio, although any audio editor would do the trick. Have you ever heard a small bird make a noise when it hopped around !!? they are actually pretty much silent. |

Very nice work!! May I ask what were your composition settings for this clip? I tried importing HV10 footage into AE and for some reason I had to set the composition size to 1920x1080 to fit the clip even though it was 1440x1080. Additionally, everything seemed very slow and I was unable to scrub the clip like in Premiere and the RAM preview took about 2-3min just for a 16 second clip. My computer is an Dell XPS 3.4Ghz w/ 2Gig ram which I think is around the same speed as your G4 if not faster. Did you run into any of these problems? |

 A 1440x1080 file at a 1.333 aspect ratio is 1920x1080. Quote:
