HV20 (NTSC or PAL ) for New Zealand at DVinfo.net

Hi, i have a question, i am looking at getting this cam and find the US the best for Price. In NZ we use PAL for TV etc.
If i was to get an NTSC version will i be able to convert from NTSC to PAL in FCP or Imovie and will it effect picture quality?
I understand if one has a PAL/NTSC compatiable TV things will be fine..

I'd hold off for a week or two. Pal ones are just starting to trickle through and prices will even out.
