New firmware adds XF-AVC format to XF400 and XF405
Full details here:
Canon releases professional video firmware upgrade to drive workflow efficiency at DV Info Net This is a UK press release; I imagine there will be a USA press release as well. |

Surprisingly little discussion about the XF400/5. Is it selling?

my guess, given the posts, is no. I owned a 305. not likely to buy a 400/405. not an upgrade. a downgrade.

I wouldn't call it a downgrade; it's just mis-named is all.
It's really the XA400 and XA405. |

Al, I concur. I am waiting and hoping that Canon gives us a true upgrade to the XF300/305. Until then I will stick with my XF300. Bob
