two dust spots on XH A1 sensor

I have one distinct spot and a smaller one in the upper left hand
corner of my XH A1 sensor. Looks just like the spots on my
5D and 20D DSLR cameras. Don't like it, but I'm sure it is not
grounds for a replacement. Thanks.

Spots were on the lens

The spots looked just like the ones on my DSLR's. Never dreamed that
dust on the XH A1 lens would behave like DSLR sensor spots. Anyway
cleaned A1 lens and make some sky shots and everything looks good.
A post like this makes one feel kind of stupid. Thanks.

Glad they went away. I was going to say you might have a dead pixel or two, which would appear as a little white dot. With small chip cameras it's even more important to keep the lens clean, especially at wide angles.

Welcome to the world of infinite depth of field, also known as small-sensor cameras. :-)

Incidentally, I *do* have dust on my sensor, and it shows even at f/4.0 (though doesn't really become a pain until f/5.6+). I see sensor dust on some of the XH A1 videos posted here, too. You can bet my unit will be going to the factory for a cleaning before the one year warranty is up.
