Also consider one thing. The HV20/30 is a great drum cam EXCEPT that it is CMOS and produces very bad rolling shutter effects as seen here...

I have used it as a drum cam several times and it has always come back wobbly. But with what I'm doing so far, no problem... anyway, good luck

Bill, thanks! I'm sure the HV30 will be great for what i need to do. i just couldn't / didn't want to spend another $3k on another A1!!! Yikes! very tempted, but financially, and with limited gigs, it's just not right....at least not now.....
i will check that link out later.
