"check hdv/dv input"...help needed.
hello,
i have searched the forums but did not get my questions answered. i have recently been trying the export to tape on my a1 and the first time was a huge success. however, that was a 60i sequence. i now want to export a 30F sequence and the "check hdv/dv input" sign is flashing with no record possible. in the year i have had my camera i have never seen this message. i dont think so but could the frame rate affect the print to tape? i thought it could be a camera setting or an FCP setting. any suggestions would be a huge help as this little problem is a frustrating one. thanks everyone, dan |

Hello Daniel I dont know but from the message that you say you are getting it could be that you are trying to record SD while your camera is set to record HDV or the other way around. Hope this helps.

Also check whether the cam is set to 24F or 60i instead of 30F mode. Not sure if that would affect anything but it's worth a try.

have you re-checked that you can still record 60i? Just in case a problem with the firewire has developed.
