Good advice Tony, many thanks.

Enjoyed looking through your stills, btw. Big fish . . . .!

Cheers,

I use a Formatt FM-500, and I'm looking to pick up a Red-Eye ... Have you found a way to mount the formatt to the red eye? I wonder if one of the clamp-on adapter rings will clamp to the outside of the redeye? Will we get vignetting with the 0.5x?

Kris, having bought a .5 Red Eye and used it extensively on a 2 week shoot I would say that it is too thin to safely mount the Formatt box on it, even if any of the adaptor clamps do fit. Shame, as I had been looking forward to shooting the African sky with a grad ND!

Shame, that sucks :) I'm weighing the WD-H72 (0.75x) or the Red-Eye (0.5x) .. Wanted more for effect than for extended high-end use... but I need something to use with the Formatt matte-box. WD-H72 is far too big.

There must be another option ...
