XL1 tape warning symbol question
A friend with an XL1 wants to set it up to be used as a projection camera, with S-video out to the video projector. Without a tape in the camera, he is getting the red flashing tape warning light. Anybody know if there's a way to turn that off? I'm stumped.

Using the remote control, press the "On Screen" button.
