DSLR.MOV Win 8

Apparently there is no way to work/convert .mov files out of my Nikon and GH3 with Win 8 (as noted in the download spec),can it be expected in the future?
* Adobe Media encoder does not provide audio the same length as the video
* Sony Vegas works but has no efficient way to do multiple clips
Has anyone found a work around for this? (drag clips to timeline, create regions, batch render)
I really like the editing features in the GP Studio and have for years used CF as my archive format, please....
