Just Curious

Hi everyone -

Just a quick poll here - Let everyone in the community know what graphics hardware you're using for After Effects and whether or not you've had luck with it.

Adobe says they support both Nvidia and ATI hardware, but it seems that nobody really knows what may be the best one to use.

I'm currently using an Nvidia 8800 with .5GB RAM. Had a 6500 in there before with 256MB RAM. A secondary machine had a Radeon 1050 (pretty lame) in it before I replaced it with the 6500. The 8800 works great. Don't know if it works faster than the 6500 but one would assume at least an incremental performance increase.

The 6500 used to run out of memory for complex composited projects. Haven't had the problem with the 8800... yet.

There's either a black art or some technical comprehension required to suss this out. I have neither, so I go with the adage that bigger and faster is better.
