I would be shocked if Canon went into the 2/3" range, but keeping my fingers crossed for any new announcements this weekend.

As is, looks like this lens would be good for any of the existing Sony or Panasonic 2/3" cameras; or even some of the larger chip cameras. At 20x zoom, you'd get some vignetting at the wide end of the lens, but you'd still have a lot more range & better "video" control than any stock SLR lens.
