Teradek Beam announced

Teradek is proud to announce Beam, a camera-back broadcast contribution encoder capable of delivering stunning HD video at bit rates up to 50Mbps. Beam utilizes H.264 compression and can transmit at distances up to 2000ft with just 2 frames of latency.

Beam operates over the unlicensed 5GHz band and includes a variety of features well-suited to professional broadcasters, including an HD-SDI input, two-way IFB, RTSP and MPEG-TS protocol support, and multicasting, which allows 4 receivers to be used with a single transmitter at one time.
