If anybody else has any information on this, it would be appreciated? From the article ti might be just an mock-up or an future product.

Can't translate the Japanese but the image looks exactly like this inexpensive DV camera I've used a few times:

Yes, this is an older model, these shoulder mount Panasonic's have been available for years, starting at $799 at one time I think. I think they are student cameras, and just cheap engineering fro corporate etc. So, we might not expect more than normal AVCHD data.
