Compressor 4 DVD export
I have just downloaded Compressor 4 and am struggling to figure out how to export a DVD file in the same way that I did with the old Compressor.
I used to just select 'DVD Best Quality 90 Minutes', or sometimes '120 minutes', (when I couldn't get it all to fit onto one DVD). Compressor 4 doesn't seem to have these options. From what I can see, the only option is 'Create DVD', but I don't want to create the DVD in Compressor. I have always created the DVD files with Compressor, and then created and built the DVD in Studio Pro. Then I use Toast to burn it. Thanks for any help, and sorry if I am being a total idiot. |

Re: Compressor 4 DVD export
Just select the two compression settings from within the "Create DVD" listing on the left and drag them to your loaded video file. While Compressor does an excellent job of setting the MPEG2 compression to the length of the video you can alter the settings to your likes. I created a custom setting in Compressor to make DVD files for DVDSP and access it from within FCPX. Even though I have a new MacPro usually the time it takes to make the MPEG2 file is so short that I don't need the multiprocessor ability of Compressor.
