24f to 60i workflow at DVinfo.net

I shot a documentary with the A1 in 1080/24f. All of our footage was captured in FC but we are now editing on Avid, so we need to conform selects to 1080/60i (would like to cut in HDV in case we are asked to deliver HD version) Here is how we are tackling the process:

-create selects on a 1080/24p timeline.
-cut and past selects to 1080/60i timeline at 29.98.
-create self contained quicktime of 1080/60 timeline
-drop scq on new 1080/60 timeline and print to tape using camera at HDV 60i setting.

Wondering if anyone see's potential problem, specifically with remaining in HDV codec and allowing final cut to render out the new frame rate.
