Exporting MPEG2 From Timeline - FCP5 with OS 10.4.1

Won't do it. I've done it a billion times in the past. It's been a few months, though, so I can't figure out what step, exactly, let to this inability. I get a message that the movie is not completely rendered and that I must do this first. Of course, it is rendered.

Now, I've done a lot of research on this already and some people on some web boards are saying this is an intentional feature, to which I say, I doubt it. WHY would it remain a menu item on on the export menu if this were disabled? Also, why would the FCP manual retain a paragraph on it?

Does anybody else have this problem? I just want to export something from the FCP 5 timeline as an MPEG2 via the export>using quicktime conversion option.

Thanks

Paul,

You might have to reinstall Compressor. I've had to do a lot of software reinstalls after updating to Tiger and I think DVD SP3/Compressor were 2 of them.
