i have the MBP 2.0 w.2Gb ram and 100Gb 7200 rpm hdd. Seems like it outpaces my dual 2.5 G5! I have it set to dual boot with XP, so far its a rock. VERY happy with the purchase!

FCP5.1 runs very well on the MBP. Capturing, building sequence, previewing don't seem ANY different than my G5 system. I've only compressed one music video so far, but the native HDV timeline of 4.5 minutes (lots of cuts, dissolves, and CC, not to many efx) compressed to DVD in about 12 minutes. I'll have to run the sequence on the G5 to compare...
