Exporting HDV w/h.264

How do I maintain the anamorphic aspect ratio when I export using h.264? Thanks.

I assume you are exporting using Compressor, and for QuickTime? Here is what works for me:
- In FCP, select the sequence you want to export, then select File->Export->Using Compressor...
- In Compressor, under "Setting", pick what is most appropriate (such as "Web Download (QuickTime 7 compatible)->H.264 800Kbps"
- An Inspector window opens, and in it you'll find a row of buttons (almost at the top). Look for the "Geometry" button (the one with a circle, a rectangle, and a triangle), and click on it.
- Under "Constrain to display aspect", select 16:9.
- Under "Pixel aspect", click what looks right for your setup. In my case, I select "HDV 1080i (16:9)", but maybe "NTSC CCIR 601/DV (Anamorphic)" is the right one for you.

Hope this helps!
