dr-dv5000 not working at DVinfo.net

i purchased a new dr-dv5000 unit. after 5 hours the unit would no longer reconize any of the 3 hard drives. Sent the unit back for repair. 4 weeks went buy. just got the unit back and it DOESNOT record. all the settings are correct and all the wiring is correct. This is the SECOND firestore unit that has been sent back for repairs. the other is an fs4. has anyone else had these problems with firestore products. It seems they spend more time in the shop for repair then should be.
