Inside Firestore?

Does anybody know what hdd-s Firetore uses inside? Are those replacable with biggerones? Or is there any firmware limitations to use "thirdparty size" HDD-s?

Hi Frank,

I replaced the original 40GB HDD in my FS-4 with a

HD AT 2.5" 80GB Hitachi Travelstar 5K80
ATA6, 5400rpm, 9.5mm, 8MB Cache
Modell: HTS548080M9AT00

(which was the same brand and type that came with the unit)

And have had no issues.

The FS-4 will format the new HDD via the UTILITIES-FORAMT menu after the new HDD has been installed. Installing a new HDD is not difficult - but of course you will void any warranty by opening the unit.
