Boosting headphone volume level on hdr-fx1?

While producing in the street-- I can't seem to hear my mic very well in my headphones... The levels are good

How do I pump up the volume out to Headphone?

Duh?

If you have adjust volume to the max on the tape transport panel already and it is not enough, you might want to try a more efficient headphone.

Yep. Check for impedance mismatch, more efficient headphones (like Sony MDR7506's) will be a lot louder.

An alternative, cheaper solution is to use a headphone amplifier like the Boostaroo.

Brent,

Check a few different head phone or try your phones in another camera.

On one of my FX1s the headphone audio level dropped a lot one day and has not returned. I need to take it to Sony and have them fix it.

I have tried a couple different Sony 7506 headphones all with the same result. In one camera it is very loud and in the other very quiet.
