will a hdmi splitter degrade picture quality at DVinfo.net

I am looking for a hdmi splitter so i can take a raw feed from my camera and take one input to my hdmi focus monitor and the other to the computer that is doing the capturing.
i was wondering if there would be any loss of picture detail?
also does any one know of a good splitter, some have a built in amplifier to prevent signal loss

No loss of detail, it's digital, not analogue.

Amplifiers not required, inbuilt electronics make sure the signal level is usable, it's digital, not analogue.
