trying to figure out compatablitiy between canon/sony HDV

I"ve been shooting HD with the sony FX1 but i'm thinking of purchasing the canon HV10 http://www.samys.com/product_detail.php?item=9676
am i going to be able to playback the sonys footage ont he canon?
does anyone know?

It should...but I'd spring for the new HV20 at $100 more...

I have both an HC1 and the HV10, and have used the HV10 to capture/playback media from the sony. It's the same HDV 1080i spec. It should do well.
