strange colour cycling effect on clips

I shoot AVCHD - the MTS files are fine. I converted to Canopus HQ and there is a strange colour cycling on most of the clips

example

1st clip is MTS, 2nd is Canopus HQ

any ideas as to whats wrong? (apart form the way I spell colour)

never seen that before

are you not able to edit AVCHD clips without converting? Edius 5.51 will do it with no problems

Paul,

Even in the raw clips the cycling is there? What did you shoot this with?

Hi Ted,

in the original AVCHD files the colour is fine, - it's only appearing in the files converted to canopus HQ

I'm shooting with a Panasonic Lumix GH1

I'm pretty sure it was with the stand alone tool - I've got the full Procoder 3... you think that might be the problem??

ProCoder 3 is an old outdated software

convert the AVCHD files directly in the edius bin by right click, convert file or files if more than one is selected

thanks - I bought the package 2nd hand, just moving over from CS5. I've tested a replacement clip and it looks like that was it. weird problem, I was not looking forward to redoing the whole wedding.

Mind you I'll still have to relink all the clips but thats no biggie
