Just giving myself a bump.
I'm looking for work and some more experience so if anyone needs a hand/cam on a shoot then give me a shout.

A demo of a show i recently shot is on the vimeo link below,i covered it on a couple of nights from a few angles but the clip only shows one angle. It was just a taster to get the cast to buy some dvd's, (it worked,,,about 40 times).

Thanks.

Temp work JavaScript

Hello all,
My company is in need of an extra hand in the Web Development sector. We are doing a full re-design of a site completely in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. The site is complete except for some neccessary elements that must be done in JavaScript. If you are strong in this area, please PM a link of some of the work you have done, and/or your experience. The job is in it's final stages and should be completed within 3 weeks. If you are chosen to assist, payment will be discussed via email or phone. You do not have to be local! We just need to finish the job.
Upon completion of the project, with your permission, your information will remain on file for future jobs.
Thankyou

Cameraperson + Gear for school DVD shoot in London

I'm looking for a cameraperson to do a 2-3 day shoot at a school in london.

Sorry, i can't confirm the dates right now but we're talking early/mid May. I should know the exact dates by the end of next week.

The final film will go to DVD so Standard Def is ok, though HD is preferable as clients may want to update the project later. Having said that i'd consider a large SD camera with a nice lens like a DSR or Digibeta.

Middle sized solid state cameras like the Sony XD cam,EX or Panasonic HPX etc would be ideal. I myself own the Canon XHA1 so an XLH1 would match nicely as i expect to be doing some shooting myself.

A good knowledge of capturing broadcast quality sound would be an advantage. A basic interview lighting set-up would also be helpful.

Because we'll be filming in a school, CRB certification is also a plus.

Please email me with your CV/showreel as well as pay expectations, to

bluekitevideo@mac.com

There may well be other opportunities for similar work in the future for the right person.

Thanks

Dom

It's helpful to indicate what sort of payscale is involved, and what the scope of the job is. I could point you to a lot of great gaffers but it all depends on the rate.

Do you have positions for someone without a lot of experience? I Have only worked on my own projects, making instructional videos. I have a fairly extensive knowledge of audio, but none as it pertains to film making like you are doing. I will also email you, I thought a bump here might help :)

"Major Hollywood Director/Producer"

what's a major hollywood director/producer doing without a list of gaffer names they worked with in past ?
past gaffers & DP's etc have no names to pass on to the producer ??
no favors called in ??

based on experience i would guess no pay or extremely low pay...
but/and there could be opportunity here ..
be sure to ask questions & get the fine details !

Well Don, the Director is actually writing this project and has allowed me to put the shoot together, thus the post. I could ask him for his contact list, but then what would he need me for?

If you're interested, email Joe, at dubb57@hotmail.com. Great opp!

Charles,

We're not sure of the final budget, but it's at least $100-150 a day subject to increase. Easy shoot. Great networking opp.

Wow.

You can get a qualified LA gaffer for 10-15 bucks an hour???

Amazing.

I've got to start thinking about staffing my Phoenix shoots out of LA!

Just think, I can pay that day rate PLUS provide a ticket on Southwest coming and going EVERY DAY and STILL save a boatload of money over hiring local talent.

Sweet.

sound guy in boston

Hey All,

Need a sound guy for a simple gig, should be 3-4 hours, but need 8 people sitting around a table to be mic'd. Sadly this is a low pay gig, but there will definitely be some money in it.

Thanks,
Matt
