Looking for an actor in Brighton, UK

Does anyone know of a good free resource where I can find an actor or they can find me.

I'm doing a 2-3 day shoot, in Brighton UK, soon for a short film that will be my final University Degree show project

I need a male actor between about 20 and 30.

Thanks

Ocean :)

post a message in the Uni drama dept or look for an acting school and leave a message there - you should get stacks of people interested.

Or you can look up the name of a local agent and give them the details and they'll let their people know.

Just be upfront about the pay or 'no pay', feed them well and make sure they get some footage for their showreel

Shooter in NYC

Hey guys, I've wanted to shoot something on my own in NYC, but I'm not getting the results I wanted with my audio equipment.

It'd be on Sunday, Feb. 24th from 4 - 8. It's a comedy sketch in one location. It should be pretty fun.

You should have a good camera, ideally HD, and good audio equipment, that's essential.

I'd be looking to pay around $100 for this. I can be a bit flexible, but let me know if this works for you. The guy who I'm doing this with and I both write a bunch of comedy sketches, so it could possibly lead somewhere else too.

Also, there's the possibility of me not needing anyone if I can get my audio equipment working. I just wanted to post and see if anyone out there would be interested in helping out, so I'm not potentially left high and dry. Thanks a lot.

Josh

Shooters in Paris and Huizen, Holland?

Hi Guys,
I have a client who needs a couple of sit down interviews(basic lighting, one mic) shot in Paris, France and Huizen, Holland. The shoots would be very straight forward, and only take a couple of hours.
So far the quotes he has received have been in the 2000 euro range, which seems very high, but what do I know.

Wouldn't have to be XDCam HD, but it would be great if it was.

The client is a long time customer of mine, knowledgeable and great to work for.

Any help appreciated.

Peter

So there are two shoots right? Seems about right if I was pricing for a similar UK shoot - especially if you're taking travel and travel time into account as paris to Huizen is approx 300 miles or so.

In my experience, UK cameraperson rates are around the £500-600 (660-800 euros) per day for good people plus travel, disc stock and other expenses.

Of course, that's UK rates - don't know if French/Dutch rates are wildly different or not...

Neil Ambrose February 25th, 2008 03:03 PM

Yep about 600-800 euro for camera op, camera and stock is pretty standard in Europe from my experience. One thing which is worth doing is checking the type of crew you are getting. You often get ENG crews who are a bit ropey at lighting complex interview situations. Neil

I have several hours of Key West footage. Fantasy fest, Duval st, Cemetary,
Power boat races, Scuba diving, Boating, etc.

Scuba diving footage in Cozumel.

All footage shot 2007 with HC7 or V1U.

Bob
