looking for an animated character

Our group logo is below

I'd love to find a way to animate this but It occurs to me that what will take me a year might be pretty easy for someone who actually knows what they're doing.

Any bored 3D animators out there who might be interested in helping us out?

toonboom allows you to build a 3D avatar and animate it in real time, including lipsync from a microphone.
The product is very expensive and does not include any tools to create the puppet (usually made in 3Dstudio), but some companies offers this as service, so the cost could be affordable.
This is mainly a realtime presentation product for events, but all the screen can be recorded, so you can use it at will to do a quick and dirty animation on the fly, with no knowledge about 3D. you just use the program as a puppet.
you can even dowload a free demo with some prededigned characters (the dino is really great !)

I'm doing a VO recording session tonight (3-27) and may be able to piggyback this project onto it. Might that work?

I'd suggest something Pythonesque, 3D/CG would be a stretch for that logo. What would you like to see it "do"? Jumping jacks? The old soft-shoe?

I have a client who needs a couple of sit down interviews(basic lighting, one mic) shot in Paris, France and Huizen, Holland. The shoots would be very straight forward, and only take a couple of hours.
So far the quotes he has received have been in the 2000 euro range, which seems very high, but what do I know.

Wouldn't have to be XDCam HD, but it would be great if it was.

The client is a long time customer of mine, knowledgeable and great to work for.

Any help appreciated.

Peter

Hi Peter,

Still looking for someone in Holland? I am based in Amsterdam and shoot with the Z1. Send me a pm if you're interested.

best regards,

Looking for someone with JVC HD100/200 or BR50 in Philadelphia

We recently shot a project in HDV format and are unable to capture it through our camera. We are looking for someone with a JVC HD100/200 series camera or a BR50 deck to rent so we can capture. Or, if you have either of these 2 items and Adobe Premiere Pro, we would be willing to pay for you to capture. Please let me know what you would ask for compensation.

you should contact Ben Lynn - he's been a part of this forum for a long time. He currently has one - he's near me in Illinois, but I bet he'd help you out. He's shooting the Final Four right now, but I think he has some time off in a week or two.

Geez Sareesh.............

You're leaving it a bit late in the day for us wimpish Westerners to be hauling ass around Kerala aren't you?

April/ May, gonna be steamier than a sauna.

Great place to shoot tho, if you can see what you're doing through sweat obscured bi - focals!

Thinking about it.

Er, hang on a bloody minute - it's April already!

Please tell me it's a typo and you really mean Nov/ Dec/ Jan later this year.

I take it transport To/ From India is off the menu? (Who am I kidding with that one?)

CS

PS. Like the accent. Oxford or Cambridge? (No offense intended)

Hmm, even my befuddled brain has figured out I can't free up in that time frame, guess that's a reluctant "No" then. Bugger.

Next time, give me a bit more warning!

Intrigued, but not terminally so, as to why you don't just take a mob from Mumbai?
