To HDV community - a request

Hi all you HDV'ers...

I'd like to make a request to everyone here that owns or will soon own an HDV camera. I've tried out the DV Rack software, and it's amazingly great. It's probably THE missing link for us in the field (and in the edit suite).

Problem: DV Rack currently doesn't support HDV on the Mac or PC.

Solution: Contact DV Rack and request support.

Just a note - I've been told by the DV Rack guys that Mac support isn't likely for the future. However, PC's are supported...so, instead of pushing for Mac support let's push for HDV support on PC's. We can all get a cheap P4 laptop for monitoring our cameras.

I'm sending this request because I've been told a "surprisingly" amount of people have requested HDV support. We need to tip the cup, so they definately put in the time to develop the HDV side.

In 2005 I'll own the "pro" version of the FX1, and I know that the DV Rack software will be great tool for me and others. Please consider contacting DV Rack on their website to request HDV support!

Thank you. (Wow, that sounds like a political ad.)

A surprisingly small amount of people or surprisingly large amount of people?

The direct quote that can be found posted on DVinfo is:

"You are among a surprising number of customers and potential customers who are very interested in DV Rack working with HDV."

But, we need to push for support because it's not there! I've asked over and over...so, they know I want it. :)
