HD200 strange issue with FAW and focus assist

When I press any of the focus assist buttons to turn off focus assist, the iris becomes servo controlled and goes wide open. To get manual control of the iris back, I have to switch FAW from OFF to ON and then back to OFF to seemingly reset the FAW state.

FAW is set to OFF, iris is on M, and I thought I completely disabled anything auto through the menus as well.

Anyone heard of this problem?

P.S. My HD100 does not exhibit this behavior. Maybe I will try that older 16x with the 200 body + 16x to see if that's the problem. There are 2 fan hours on the hd200 and 0 drum hours; I just bought it brand new two weeks ago.

Do you have "accu-focus" turned on instead of "focus assist"? This is a menu setting - check it out.
