Is There a Nikon Mount?

I was wondering if their was a Nikon Mount for the HD110.....like the mount canon makes for their XL cameras.

If not a mount, are there 35mm adapters out there that attach to the JVC's mount besides the pricey Mini 35?

Thanks,
Mike

Michael,

There are adapters available.
Eric, a regular here made a comparison between two adapters.

JVC GY-HD200 Lens adapter comparison - Zoerk VS MTF

I have the Zoerk adapter from him, its similar to the MTF adapter. I mount nikon lenses to the JVC body using this adapter.

Take note that attaching nikon lenses increases their focal length by, i think, 8x? not really sure.
Last saturday i shot windsurfers using a nikon 80-200 f2.8. Its like a 400mm lens when using this adapter.

Very useful in challenging situations.

Last month used a 105mm macro to shoot caterpillars and pupas for a tourism video.

I use the MTF adapter, and the focal length increase is x7

the magnification of the focal length is a problem due to the fact that i would be using a Nikon f1.4 50MM lens...that would mean i would be getting 350mm...not cool!

is there a 35mm adapter that hooks to the JVC's mount?

Mike

Get a cinevate brevis or letus.

Ive tried almost every mount out there, the brevis (cinevate) 35 is the best I have worked with... the mini 35 and redrock all have problems that are not present on the brevis or the letus35. The Mini 35 is almost never seen anymore, the redrock is huge, heavy, and looses a ton of light. The brevis is light weight, looses almost no light, made fairly well and has decent support. looks as good if not better and has alot of additional items that can go with it. also one of the cheapest. if you get one I have an extra nikon mount Ill let go for cheap.
