HD100/M2 Update

3rd Project (footage)

here are some random clips from the narrative "Even If." story is of middle america family dealing with life on the day of funeral for son in the family. movie has flashbacks throughout. first clip is flashback. saturated while the present days scenes are all generally monochrome and bleak feeling. HD100/M2/Nikon SLR 18,24,35,50,85mm. audio slips in this QT file, don't know why. one pass so far on the color timing. unlike music video, there was no real "look" other that what could be acheived in lighting. mild scene to scene matching as well as tuning up levels. certainly not meant to look "pretty" or sexy. hope it does NOT look that way!

Re: Music Video "Undress U Down"

Will post more later about the Music Video which we were ABLE to generate 1080PsF24 HDCAM uprezzed masters from the FCP 512 timeline which was 720p24 HDV. We were able to get the Miranda HD Bridge Dec+ to actually work correctly after some potholes along the way. Did all mastering at Level 3 Post in Burbank. After we figured out how to make it work, its a really simple process to output to HDCAM/HDCAM SR and make Digibetas/Beta Sp from that for delivery to broadcast/festival/etc. Exciting stuff!

This footage looks excellent with the M2. The DOF makes such a difference.

Thanks for posting this

Whats your impression of the M2 system on the HD100?

Will it work with sigma nikon fit lenses?

How does it compare to the other adaptors on the market?

... before I throw $1200 at it!

Andrew

edit: I've just read your article in Showreel Magazine, and it answers a lot of questions about the M2.

Taylor - Is there a relay lens for the M2 so that you don't have to go through the stock lens of the HD100?

Guys, rather than overloading Taylor with M2 specifications questions just go to www.redrockmicro.com. They have a forum as well.

Great clip Taylor. Thanks for posting.
