HM750 vs XF305 / EX1

Hi,

Has anyone done a comparison between the HM750, XF305 and EX1?
I have seen between XF305 and EX1 but not been able to find anything that involves the HM750 as well.

Hi Thomas

I don't have any footage for you to look at, I'm afraid but I have used all three cameras quite a bit. I'm happy to answer any questions you have!

Are you talking about picture quality? Build quality? Form and function? It's kind of hard to compare a shoulder mount camera to hand helds.

Re: HM750 vs XF305 / EX1

Like Mark said depends how you compare them and what for. I've used them all a bit and personally wish the combined them together as it would be the perfect camera, anyway my opinion is..

XF305 best codec
EX1 best sensor
HM750 best form factor

I found the 750 brilliant for a boxing match I filmed, no way could I have done handheld with the other cameras for that long. For well lit sports its great, low light though it can be a bit poor. I also love the huge screen on this camera along with the proper manual lens.

305 is obviousily best choice if you do broadcast work, however I dislike the the zoom, it has a really slow reaction.

Ex1 has the great 1/2" sensor, improving low light and sdof. That said as the 750 has constant aperture and create some good sdof with some zoom when needed.

Funny before using the 750 I would say the go with EX1 now Im not so sure, I loved the 750s form factor and build quality.
