Fussy Buttons?
Has anyone else had problems getting the "auto focus" button to work when the focus switch is set to "manual?"
It seems like there's a significant lag between the time I press the button, and the appearance of the "A" symbol in the viewfinder. Worse, sometimes pressing the button doesn't do anything. I struggled with this last night as I filmed my sons' School Christmas play, and then ended up just hand-cranking the focus ring all night. Is my camcorder broken? Or is it "just the way it is."? |

I just did a quick test, and I can't replicate that issue. When focus is set to "manual" and I push "auto focus", it happens instantly.
As for the auto focus itself, I find it unusable. It hunts back and forth and is totally unreliable IMO. I've never actually used it. |
