Video Converter Software
Hi all,
I need to buy some software to convert some sony EX1 MP4 footage to MPEG. The MP4 footage just kills my machine and crashes my system. MPEG footage from my Sony Z5P works perfectly. Do you guys know of any software that converts video from MP4 to MPEG and is quality? I am doing about 70 files so it needs to have a batch process convert. Anyone can recommend a good software? thanks Jason |

The video from an EX1 is MPEG2 in a MP4 wrapper. Use the Sony Clip Browser to rewrap the video to the format your editing program prefers.
To do this you'll need the video to still be in the structure from the card. If you don't have the full file structure from the cards you can use FFMPEG to rewrap the files. There are some graphical front end programs for FFMPEG that will let you do batch rewrapping.

Hi Chris thanks for the reply.
Do i just download the software? I still have the files as they have come off the card. I am using premiere pro CS4 and it seems to love my Sony Z5P Footage. Is there a resource website where it will tell me what Premiere Pro Likes as a wrapper? Im not really clicked onto what you mean? thanks mate |
