SLI and Magic Bullet Editors?

I'm in the market for a video card for my desktop so I'm curious about Nvida and ATI cards and how they will effect my editing with software like Magic Bullet Editors for Vegas.

I know the specs here
http://www.redgiantsoftware.com/mbe2whatsnew.html
talk about being able to get real time with an Nvidia 7800GT. What about using just two 6200 cards on SLI or something instead? Will SLI help with that or any other video applications?

I am a Vegas user right now but I'm also venturing into After Effects and possibly VisionLab as well.

But I'm trying to save some money overall.
