W2k Pro and Dual core?
Hi All,
I'm getting ready to build a new editing box for Vegas 7 and don't want to move away from Windows 2000 pro SP4. Will this OS recognize and use a Core 2 duo E6600 properly? Thanks for your help. Ken |

It should see your chip as a multi-processor and work happily. I'd recommend XP though, but 2K will work fine.

Thanks Marco. Are there any real speed advantages with Vegas using XP over W2K?

Vegas, I'm not sure -I use Premiere and Avid. I'd ask in the Vegas forum. I would expect some performance increase, but couldn't say how much.
