Creating Spinning objects that look like they are floating

Hello,

I am currently trying to work out how to create the illusion of making a small object (about the size of a football) appear to be spinning and floating. I will want to add a different background and text around the product. Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated, as I am out of ideas. The object needs to spin at a constant and steady speed.

I am trying to achieve something along the lines of this:http://www.riversandclouds.co.uk/shopexd.asp?x=32&y=15 (click on play video)

I have the following equipment:

Sony Z1

Manfrotto Tripod

3 X 300w ARRI Fresnel lights + stands

FCP Studio 1

Many thanks in advance for any advice.

Best wishes,

George

George,

Not sure if this is what you're looking for but give it a look.
