Multiple Camera Test - Which Codec?

I'm looking to compare some different cameras (namely the HMC150, 5dMKII, and EX1) in the next few months or so. I'm wondering what my workflow should be to be able to compare the cameras on a somewhat equal level.

I want to be able to view the footage on a digital projector. Should I record them all the DVD and then watch the DVD, or should I hook my computer up and watch the footage from there? Also, which codec should I use? All three cameras start in different places so I don't know if it's better to watch them in their original codec, or convert them to the same codec.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
