Burning to a CD in a web page with an autorun setup?
Hi Folks,
Do any of you have any experience burning video to a CDR? Here's what I was thinking of: I have some videos that I produced for an organization and I need to send them out to folks, on a CD - so they can watch them in their computers. Here's what I would like to happen - you stick the CD in your computer - an autorun file starts and opens a web page or something with a menu and they click on the video that they want to play and it starts Windows Media Player and plays. I'm not thinking DVD because I feel that more folks have computers with CD players than DVD players. Thoughts on this? Has anybody done this? And if so how do you do the auto run part? Thanks a bunch! Milt Lee |

Create a file called autorun.inf that has the following lines:
[autorun] ShellExecute=index.htm icon=index.htm At this point create your website with the main paqe called index.htm to create any menus you like (same as any web site). Make sure to place the autorun.inf and index.htm on the root of the cd along with any other pages you reference and video files. Hope this helps. |
