Maxell DV cassettes

Hi!

Does anyone know if Maxell DV cassettes are compatible with Sony cassettes. I've had problems when mixing Panasonic with Sony, but how about Maxell? Any info?

You should read some of the other posts here. It has to do with the various types of lubrications the different manufacturers use. When you micx tapes the lubes mix and kind of gel. This can gum up the heads. Best advice is stick with one brand. sony and Panasonic have a wide consensus that they are the best. they also have very different lubricants, which is why you are having problems. Pick one of those and stick with it alone. I personally like the Panasonics.
