Anton Bauer Charging Noise
My brand new charger (Titan T2) is making an awful pulsing noise when it's charging a battery... almost like the sound of crickets. Is this normal for the T2? It's going in sync with the pulsing of the red charge light. I've used several other types of chargers in the past, including other Anton Bauer's, but have never heard a noise like this, at least not this loud. Right now I am sitting about 8ft away from it and the sound is enough to cause a headache.

I've never heard that from any AB charger I've ever used.
How old is the unit? Can you return it to the dealer and get a replacement? Try calling AB customer service and see what they can suggest, anytime I ever called them they provided awesome service. Oh yeah, maybe ear muffs? :-(

I've heard an AB charger make a barely perceptible noise when a battery is first put on and the red and green lights flash rapidly but nothing that could be heard at 8 feet.

It just came in from B&H today. I'll call Anton Bauer tomorrow AM and see what they say (return to B&H or send to them)... they're closed for the day. I've always found them to be very helpful as well. It just sucks that I'm going to be without a charger now while it's shipping.
Thanks for the info! In the meantime... earmuffs it is! |
